The Gender Wage Gap in Egypt

This study is conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MPED)- representing the Egyptian government- and the ILO Cairo office to provide a clear perspective of the size, evolution and determinants of the gender wage gap in Egypt, using data from the Egyptian Labour Market Panel Survey (ELMPS) for the years 1998, 2006, 2012, 2018.
